Aurora Student Wins ADM Scholarship

QUINCY, Ill, July 2, 2012 – Archer Daniels Midland Company (NYSE: ADM) announced today that Summer Santos has been awarded a college scholarship through the ADM Scholarship Program.

Santos, a graduate of Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy in Aurora, Ill., is undecided on where she plans to attend college but plans to study biology. Her father is a senior network engineer at ADM’s Alliance Nutrition facility in Quincy.
The ADM Scholarship Program was created to assist the children of ADM active employees with the costs associated with a college education. Winners were selected on the basis of high scores on the PSAT/NMSQT; academic record throughout high school; significant activities and contributions to the school and community; the school’s recommendation of the candidate; and a student essay.
